Frequently asked questions

Confidentiality:

All therapy, supervision, consultation and training is confidential. The only caveats are those imposed by law: that in the event that you or someone else is at risk of harm I would have a duty of care and need to raise concerns/ a referral with the relevant authorities (though I would usually discuss this with you first).

Fees:

I offer a 15 minute telephone consultation, free of charge, to discuss your concerns and think with you about the concerns you have.

Initial Assessment sessions last 1.5 hours and are £170.

My usual charges are £130 per session of therapy (50 minutes) – including 1:1 child, 1:1 adult, parent + child, foster carer consultations.

A specific Child Psychotherapy Assessment or a Child and Parent Psychotherapy Assessment, comprising an initial meeting with the family, three 1:1 sessions with the child and then a feedback session with the family or parents is £750. A written summary report, if required, is charged separately.

A State of Mind Assessment comprises an initial meeting with the family or professional network, three 1:1 sessions with the child and then a feedback session with the family or professional network. A S.o.M assessment starts at £750 – a written report is charged separately. 

Supervisions are usually charged at £80-£100.

The cost of Trainings and Consultation varies as these are bespoke and tailored to the needs of groups/organisations.

I am able to offer Therapeutic supervision to Social workers either ad hoc or in a bloc or rolling arrangement; group supervision to Social work teams; management team supervision - all fees are negotiated separately as they are bespoke arrangements.

Please note: cancelled sessions must still be paid for unless there is prior and written agreement between us. Appointments will usually be arranged by bloc i.e termly or yearly.

Locations: 

I work in private practice in South Woodford, London (Lily House) and also in Brentwood, Essex (Sundance House Psychology Services). I also work remotely and can use Zoom, Teams or Skype.
